Social Security Disability Vocational Expert

Dr. Jackson is certified by the Florida Department of Education Bureau of Rehabilitation and Reemployment Services as a Florida Qualified Rehabilitation Provider (QRP).  Commonly referred to as a case managers, QRPs perform medical care coordination and reemployment services designed to help injured workers return to work quickly.

Dr. Jackson coordinates the medical treatment of injured workers in all phases of their medical care.  Many of his injured workers are in the acute phases of care, and his role is to coordinate the medical, psychiatric or therapeutic treatment for the injured employee, provide health training to the employee and family, and monitor the employee's recovery. 

Dr. Jackson is also a registered Vocational Expert with the Social Security Administration and has provided VE testimony in more than 300 SSDI and SSI hearings for Administrative Law Judges since 2001.  He offers vocational expert and disability management services to insurance companies, plaintiff and defense attorneys, employers, government agencies and rehabilitation service firms.  He has 10 years of service and experience in matters involving personal injury, medical malpractice, long term disability, Social Security Disability and workers' compensation.   

Dr. Jackson earned his doctorate and his masters of health science from the University of Florida.  While enrolled for his doctorate, he published a study on factors that prolong or reduce an injured worker's time on disability titled "Facilitating Injured Workers Return to Work: Using Job Analyses and Other Select Variables to Prevent Prolonged Disability."

Dr. Jackson is adjunct faculty at the University of Florida in the College of Public Health and Health Professions.  He is the Departmental Program Trainer for the Certification for Vocational/Medical Integration in the Determination of Disability program, a lecture series provided to the Social Security Disability Determination Division.
